Further charges: Driving incident, Tamborine Mountain
Police have further charged a man and a women following investigations into a driving incident on the Northern Gold Coast on Wednesday August 16.
Around 1.30pm, it will be alleged police became aware of a utility due to the manner of driving on Santa Barbara Boulevard in Hope Island.
Pol Air 1 was deployed and was able to track the vehicle to Oxenford, where allegedly the driver and an occupant left the vehicle and attempted to steal another at a theme park.
They were unsuccessful and it will be alleged they got back into their original vehicle and were tracked to the Mount Tamborine area, near Thunderbird Park.
The vehicle went into bushland and a man was taken into custody.
A 28-year-old Newtown man was charged with two counts of break and enter, two counts of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A man and a woman who were passengers in the vehicle, fled the scene on foot and were unable to be located.
The pair were located on Tamborine Mountain Road at 9.15am yesterday and were taken into custody.
A 25-year-old Kingston man has been charged with 16 offences including stealing, wilful damage, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises and commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
A 26-year-old Kyogle women has been charged with two counts each of enter premises and commit offence and attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
She is scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on September 4.
