Car stolen from home while owner in care, Mackay

The resident of a home in Wellington Street, Mackay, has been in care for an extended period of time. Family members and friends have been caring for the house and yard during their absence.
It has been discovered that between August 20 and September 5 a yellow 1975 Mazda 808 sedan registration number 941 BCP (image above of actual car) was stolen from where it had been parked underneath the house. The car is not registered and runs very poorly due to not having been started for an extended period of time.
It is believed that the car had been left unlocked. Footprints indicate more than one person had been present and likely pushed the car out of the driveway. The car held little to no fuel at the time it was stolen.
