Have you seen this stolen scooter around town? Bowen
To a teenager, a shiny new scooter can be the adult equivalent of a new car. This is no more true when they spend their own money to purchase one valued at $260! A local 15-year-old boy did just this, and then had the misfortune of having it stolen from outside McDonald’s in Bowen on August 13.
Police would like to speak to a boy who was seen in the area at approximately 5.15pm when the scooter was allegedly taken. CCTV footage shows the boy leaving on a dark blue or black mountain bike before returning a few minutes later minus his bike. The footage then shows the boy grabbing the scooter and leaving the area in somewhat of a hurry.
The boy is described to be of a dark complexion, wearing dark shorts, a blue long-sleeved top and blue sneakers. We estimate his age to be between 10 and 12-years-old.

A photograph depicting the exact colour and type of scooter stolen
The above photograph shows the exact colour and style of the MGP scooter stolen. It is green and silver in colour and has black deck tape. Feel free to show this post to your kids on the off-chance they might have spied it recently.
It’s not fair that a young lad who worked hard to purchase something special for himself should have it stolen while he is at work.
