Phone assisted burglary, Rural View
Two burglars have allegedly been sprung inside of a home in Sonoran Street, Rural View at 3:30am this morning – both were alleged to be in possession of mobile phones which they were using as torches to assist with their search of the home.
It was the strong light coming from the mobile phones in the living room which has woken a resident from their sleep.
Once the resident was awake they have immediately verbally challenged both intruders who ran outside and away from the scene as a result. Minutes later two small light coloured hatchbacks were seen driving past the address at high speed.
The two intruders are described as follows :
- Both are approximately 175 centimetres tall, solid builds, wearing grey and black hooded jumpers and heavy work boots.
