Tool theft, Mackay Harbour

A local tradie has been left empty handed after the theft of tools from the tray of a parked utility at Marina Beach Parade at the Mackay Harbour.

The utility had been parked at a pin code access car park at this location for several days, the tools were left in the tray but had been covered. Between September 29 and October 4 the crook has entered the car park and stolen the following items from the tray :

  • makita battery drill
  • makita battery grinders
  • makita battery impact driver
  • makita charger and 5 batteries
  • makita cordless hammer drill x 2
  • makita electric grinder
  • various small hand tools

Police encourage our local tradies to consider engraving their valuable possessions with either a business identifying number – or visit your local police for an identification number to be either engraved, or marked with our new ultra violet pens. Identification numbers assist us enormously with finding owners of stolen property quickly.
