Wanted man arrested in Queensland

A man wanted on a revocation of parole warrant and for breaching a court order has been arrested in northern Queensland.

NSW Police Force was contacted after a 46-year-old man failed to return home to Campbelltown from scheduled appointments in Sydney CBD last Monday (23 October 2017).

Their inquiries revealed the man had travelled to Queensland.

Following further investigations, the man was arrested by Queensland Police Service at Port Douglas about 1pm today (Monday, October 30).

The man, who was wanted on two outstanding warrants, was taken to Port Douglas Police Station, before being transferred to Cairns Watch House.

He has been refused bail to appear at Cairns Magistrates Court tomorrow (Tuesday, October 31).

Officers from NSW will travel to Cairns to seek the extradition of the man to NSW in coming days.

Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
